MARK ACKERMANN
Chief Administrative Officer, PTTI
Chief Executive Officer, R&R Project

Mark Ackermann’s career includes 40 years of administrative experience. He has held executive-level positions with the St. Vincent’s Catholic Medical Centers in New York City, the Archdiocese of New York where he ran Pope Benedict’s Papal Visit to New York, the CEO of Lighthouse International, and the CEO of the Catholic Community Foundation of Long Island. He is also the Founder and Principal of Mark Ackermann Associates, a management consulting firm. Mr. Ackermann currently serves as Chairman of the US Association of Blind Athletes, a member organization of the Team USA Paralympic Organization. He serves as a board member of both the Reader’s Digest Partners for Sight Foundation and the Foundation for Justice and Peace in the Vatican, and as a Special Advisor to the Path to Peace Foundation at the Vatican’s Mission to the United Nations. He also served as an Adjunct Professor at Long Island University, New School University, and New York University, and as a Visiting Lecturer at Drew University. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree from the Catholic University of America and a Master’s Degree in Not-for-Profit Management from New York University. He and his wife, June, live in Freehold, NJ, where they enjoy keeping up with their six children, their spouses, and eight grandchildren.

FRANK BOURKE, PhD
Executive Director Emeritus, R&R Project

Frank Bourke developed the Reconsolidation of Traumatic Memories Protocol™ and founded The Research and Recognition Project, Inc. In the aftermath of 9/11, Dr. Bourke designed and implemented a rehabilitation plan for over 850 World Trade Center survivors of Aon Insurance’s New York office; he treated over 250 of these survivors for PTSD. As a consultant, he developed a referral and treatment system for 9/11 survivors. He is a formally trained Clinical and Research Psychologist and has 49 years of professional experience in business administration. Dr. Bourke has been a keynote speaker at a number of mental health conferences discussing the scientific research and efficacy of the RTM Protocol™. He earned his Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology from St. John’s University, then, on a Fulbright Scholarship, he trained in research at the Institute of Psychiatry in London, where he received his PhD in Psychology. He went on to serve as an Associate Professor of Community Psychology at the New York School of Psychiatry. He also served as a Lecturer for Cornell University’s Psychology and Education Departments for undergraduate and graduate-level courses in Community Mental Health and Psychology. Dr. Bourke is a cancer survivor who remains committed to expanding the use of the RTM Protocol™.

MEGHAN BOURKE

Meghan Bourke grew up in the Finger Lake Region of New York State and was a very active child. After obtaining an Associate’s Degree at the local community college, she “ran away” and joined the circus. Ms. Bourke spent 16 years teaching and performing circus arts around the world, specializing in aerials and flying trapeze. In 2012, when she retired from the circus, she started working for the R&R Project doing data entry. She has become an integral part of the team and has assisted in almost every aspect of both organizations, including operations, accounting & finance, marketing, and training. Ms. Bourke enjoys working for such an amazing cause and is very excited to see the RTM ProtocolTM help people around the world. She is actively pursuing her Black Belt in Taekwondo and teaches Physical Education at a local middle school. She loves sharing her love of movement with children and adults.

FARZANA NABI, PhD
Chief Strategy Officer, PTTI

Farzana Nabi has a unique combination of executive management, research, and military experience spanning across government, corporate, academic, and non-profit sectors. Dr. Nabi is an accomplished professional with expertise in strategic planning, program development, education, training, and applied research focused on national security, policy, and human behavior. She has a decade of experience working with the U.S. military, which includes a 1-year deployment to Afghanistan as a Senior Social Scientist in support of Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF). Dr. Nabi has trained researchers deploying into conflict zones and was a by-name-request of former National Security Advisor & Lt. General (Ret.) H.R. McMaster. She joined his team as the Chief Social Scientist at the US Army Capabilities & Integration Center (now Army Futures Command). She has earned multiple awards and distinctions for her work and holds a Master’s Degree in Psychology from Santa Clara University, and a PhD in Social Welfare & Policy from the University of California, Berkeley, where she was selected to give the commencement address at graduation. Dr. Nabi is a proud Veteran spouse. She and her husband, Christopher, live in Northern Virginia and enjoy running & working out, great cuisine, family time, and discussing global issues.

DIANE TREMAINE

Diane Tremaine has a distinguished career that spans over 40 years across engineering, accounting & finance, project management, and human resources administration. She spent over two decades at Armstrong World Industries, where she held various roles, and later, at companies such as Corning, Inc., Advion Biosciences, and XGEN Pharmaceuticals, Inc. in New York. In addition to serving as CFO of PTTI and the R&R Project, she also serves as the Assistant Secretary and Assistant Treasurer of the PTTI Board of Directors. Ms. Tremaine earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Massachusetts in Amherst, MA, and a Master’s of Business Administration Degree from Shippensburg College in Shippensburg, PA. She has been active in her community for many years and also serves as a member of the Board of Directors and Treasurer of the Community Arts of Elmira, in Elmira, NY. Ms. Tremaine lives in Beaver Dams, NY, with her husband, Dave, a wood and ceramic artist. In addition to spending time with their three children and four grandchildren, Diane and Dave enjoy downhill & cross-country skiing, and biking.

BRIGADIER GENERAL (RET.) LOREE SUTTON, M.D.
Lead, PTTI Board of Directors

Loree Sutton is a lifelong public servant and community advocate. As the US Army’s highest-ranking psychiatrist and founding commissioner of NYC’s Department of Veterans’ Services, Dr. Sutton has devoted nearly 40 years of service and leadership to the nation. Her decorated military career includes earning a Bronze Star while deployed in support of Operation Desert Storm; serving as a White House Fellow; receiving the National War College distinguished graduate award; and commanding two Army medical centers (Fort Hood, TX & Fort Belvoir, VA) during the height of hostilities in Iraq and Afghanistan. As founding director, Defense Centers of Excellence for Psychological Health and Traumatic Brain Injury, Dr. Sutton led, designed, and implemented integrative approaches for building resilience, enhancing recovery and fostering community reintegration. Working in collaboration with the US Department of Veterans Affairs, she created the Core4 Whole Health model, introduced nationally in 2016 by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) and the White House. She also was appointed by the VA Secretary to serve as an inaugural member of the Veterans’ Family, Caregiver, and Survivor Advisory Committee (2017-19). Currently, Dr. Sutton is leading PTTI’s collaborative efforts to pioneer a PTSD breakthrough treatment paradigm.

SHELLE ROSE CHARVET

Shelle Rose Charvet is an expert on influencing and persuading, and helping clients worldwide improve their impact as a keynote speaker, trainer, consultant, and coach. Her first book, “Words That Change Minds,” available in over 20 languages, was chosen by Forbes as a best management book for executives and entrepreneurs and has been listed as number one in persuasion by Goodreads. Ms. Rose Charvet has certified over 800 Trainers from 35 countries and has personally trained thousands around the world in her influencing and persuading methodologies, using the LAB Profile®, Neuro-linguistic Programming (NLP) and other advanced psychologies. Working with Artificial Intelligence (AI) scientists, she developed software that reveals people’s motivations in email communication. Libretta® uses patented AI to automatically identify what is motivating people, how they think and make decisions when they write, and helps them respond. Her clients include Bayer, Volvo, Siemens, European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN), IBM, Sun Life Financial, The Body Shop, Nokia, Irish Ferries, PJM Interconnections, and Pearson Education, among others.

THOMAS D’AURIA
PTTI Board of Directors

Thomas D’Auria has 50 years of Information Technology (IT) experience in the private,
public, not-for-profit, and university sectors. He has held senior management positions at NYC government agencies, and worked and taught at Carnegie-Mellon and
Columbia University. He founded Information Methods Incorporated (IMI) in 1980 and currently serves as its Chairman. Mr. D’Auria’s company specializes in IT for construction management and public safety systems. After the 9/11 terrorist attacks, he and the IMI team worked closely with the NYC Office of Emergency Management, and all responding public safety and relief groups, to create the replacement Emergency Operations and Family Assistance Centers. Mr. D’Auria was appointed a New York State Peace Officer in 1988, serves as President of the New York Law Enforcement Foundation, and is a member of The American Academy for Professional Law Enforcement. He is also the Chairman of the Hudson River Museum and serves as an Altar Server for Cardinal Dolan and as an Honorary Usher at Saint Patrick’s Cathedral. He is a Lecturer and Eucharist Minister, a Knight Grand Cross of the Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulchre of Jerusalem, and a member of the Eastern Lieutenancy’s Board of Councilors. Mr. D’Auria is also a Fellow of the Association for Computing Machinery, the world’s largest computing society.

ROBERT SALLUZZO, CPA

Mr. Bob Salluzzo is an accomplished financial executive with over 40 years of experience. He has worked with US and international companies across a wide range of business sectors including automotive, medicine, aviation, and transportation. Mr. Salluzzo has done significant work with early and growth-stage companies and specializes in restructuring operational and financial practices. As a Certified Public Accountant, Mr. Salluzzo began his career with Price Waterhouse & Co. (now PriceWaterhouseCoopers). He spent seven years with PWC before forming his own accounting firm, Gleason & Salluzzo, in 1985, which he subsequently merged into a major regional accounting firm, Marvin & Co., located in Albany, NY. Mr. Salluzzo has served in Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer roles for four public
companies. He is also a commercial pilot and a crewmember of Albany International, a Fortune 500 company. Mr. Salluzzo is a graduate of St. Bonaventure University, and served as an officer in the US Army’s Field Artillery branch. He is active in a number of civic and professional organizations such as Habitat for Humanity, the Fulton County Arts Council, Veterans Initiatives, and the American Legion, among others.

ROSALYN A. TEMPLETON, PhD

Rosalyn Anstine Templeton is an author and educational consultant with 29 years of teaching students and teachers how to turn anger into productive behavior.  As a public school teacher, Dr. Anstine Templeton taught students how to handle their anger effectively by developing success plans. She developed specialized degree and training programs while teaching at Willamette, Bradley, Ferris State, and Marshall Universities. Dr. Anstine Templeton has presented workshops on anger throughout the US. She has presented research papers at national and international conferences on creating anger-free learning environments.  Dr. Anstine Templeton has published five books on anger and is working on another titled, “Avoiding Anger When Hurting: Helping Little Kids.” She is an emeritus member of the American Education Research Association (AERA) and a certified senior trainer with the Life Space Crisis Intervention (LSCI) Institute. Dr. Anstine Templeton has studied under Dr. Nicholas J. Long, an expert in crisis intervention, and earned a Master’s Degree in Social and Emotional Disorders from the American University. She holds a PhD in Curriculum, Instruction & Educational Policy Studies from the University of Oregon.  Dr. Anstine Templeton has been an integral part of the R&R Project since 2007 and is passionate about furthering research to treat PTSD.
